Powder coating isn’t paint. It’s a dry, solvent-free mix of plastic resins, pigments, and fillers applied electrostatically, then baked in a curing oven until it melts, flows, and fuses into a hard protective shell. The result resists chipping, scratching, fading, and corrosion far better than standard paint, and it looks better doing it.
We’ve been coating parts for customers since 2010, and we handle the entire job in-house: stripping, media blasting, masking, coating, and curing. No sending your parts down the road, no waiting on a third party. We regularly work with customers from Santa Cruz, Watsonville, Monterey, San Jose, and Salinas, and parts can be shipped to us from San Francisco, Los Angeles, and anywhere else UPS delivers.

For parts that run hot (headers, exhaust pipes, turbo housings) we offer ceramic exhaust coating built for temperatures that would destroy standard powder.

In addition to powder coating, we are also your source for exhaust ceramic coating. Parts exposed to extremely high temperatures, like headers and exhaust pipes, cannot be powder coated due to the heat and instead a ceramic coating can be applied to bring a unique look and protection to all your exhaust pieces.
Powder Coat It is owned and operated by Jeremy Martin in Santa Cruz, California. Jeremy began powder coating as a hobby in 2007 while customizing his classic 1959 El Camino hot rod and 1988 Saab SPG race car. The prospect of starting a business began when more and more friends asked for their motorcycle and car parts to be powder coated as well. Powder Coat It officially began in 2010 and has been growing ever since. Powder Coat It serves Monterey, Watsonville and San Jose. Items can even be shipped UPS to San Francisco, or Los Angeles.

How much does powder coating cost?
Most small parts and brackets run $75–$200 each. A single wheel is $100–$200, and a set of four is $400–$800+ depending on size and condition. Brake calipers are $100–$250 each. Patio chairs are $200–$300, tables $400–$600, and full sets $1,500–$2,200. Bicycle and e-bike frames are $150–$300, and motorcycle frames start at $350. Send us a photo for an exact quote.
How long does powder coating take?
Most parts are ready in about a week. Small jobs are often faster. Full frames and complete patio sets can take a little longer. We’ll give you a timeline when you drop your parts off.
How long does powder coating last?
Years, often longer than the part’s original paint. Powder coating resists chipping, fading, and corrosion, and it holds up far better than paint in coastal salt air.
Can you powder coat aluminum?
Yes. Aluminum wheels, bicycle frames, boat hardware, and patio furniture are all routine work for us. Aluminum needs the right prep and cure schedule, which we handle in-house.
Do I need to remove my tires, bearings, or hardware first?
No, we take care of it. We strip tires, bearings, and bushings, and we mask off threads, mounting surfaces, and anything else that shouldn’t be coated, so your parts bolt back up correctly.
Can you coat over rust or old paint?
No. Rust, old paint, and grime get blasted off first. Coating over them traps the problem underneath and the finish won’t last. We prep everything down to bare metal, then coat.
Do you work with customers outside Santa Cruz?
Yes. We regularly serve Watsonville, Monterey, San Jose, Salinas, and the surrounding areas, and we accept parts shipped from anywhere in California, including San Francisco and Los Angeles.
